December-January and July-August are best for lower rainfall. It's inexpensive for Colombia. Its main street of colorful houses with wooden balconies, Calle Real, and the viewpoint at its end overlooking the Quindío mountains, made it the most visited town in the Coffee Region, heart of the coffee-growing region declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
