Pucón

Pucón needs 2 days: the ascent of Villarrica Volcano, one of the few active volcanoes in the world climbable with a guide to the crater, on one, the natural hot springs around the surrounding Lake Villarrica on the other. December-March is best for the volcano; June-August for skiing. It's mid-to-high priced for Chile. It's Chile's adventure sports capital -rafting, trekking, paragliding and skiing within a few kilometers-, and its volcano, with activity visible at night from town, is one of the few on the planet with recurrently visible lava in its crater.
