Presidente Figueiredo needs 2 days: touring the Cachoeira das Iracema, with natural pools for swimming under the rainforest canopy, on one, and descending into the Gruta da Judéia cave or the Cachoeira Pedra Furada waterfall, on the other. June-November brings the dry season, with more passable trails. It's inexpensive by Amazonian standards. Nicknamed the «Land of Waterfalls», it has over a hundred cataloged falls within a short radius of Manaus, making it the most popular day-trip nature excursion for those without time to venture into the deep jungle.
