Miramar

Miramar needs 2 days: the Florentino Ameghino Nursery, a forest of over 40 hectares by the sea with a mini golf course and trails, on one, the beach by the Golf Club, with milder waves than Mar del Plata, 45 km away, on the other. December-March is high season. It's cheaper than Mar del Plata, with a quiet family profile. It's known as «the city of children» for its vacation camps since the mid-20th century, and its fossil-bearing cliff south of town exposes the remains of extinct megafauna from millions of years ago, visible to the naked eye after tides recede.
