Volga German Villages
Coronel Suárez · Buenos Aires · Argentina
Santa Trinidad, San José and Santa María are three colonies founded in 1887 by German immigrants who came from the banks of the Volga river in Russia. They keep their original layout, rendered adobe houses and churches wildly oversized for their populations. Several families open their homes to serve traditional food —fleischkuekle, kreppel, strudel— by prior booking.
