Seat of the legislature, opened in 1906 at the western end of Avenida de Mayo, on the axis directly opposite the Casa Rosada. Its green copper dome, about 80 metres high, dominates Plaza del Congreso. The building, in Italian academic style, can be seen inside on guided tours.
