Seat of Argentina's executive branch and one of the country's most recognisable buildings, raised on the site of the city's old fort. Its pink façade closes the eastern side of Plaza de Mayo, and its balcony was the stage for speeches that shaped Argentine history. Seeing it from outside is part of any walk through the historic centre.
