Suva needs 2 days: the municipal market and the Fiji Museum on one, and the Thurston Botanical Gardens on the other. May-October is the dry season, avoiding the southern hemisphere summer cyclone season. It's cheaper than Fiji's resort islands. It's the largest and most cosmopolitan capital in the South Pacific, with a mix of indigenous Fijian and Indo-Fijian population (descendants of workers brought by the British), and serves as the region's administrative and university reference center for the entire Pacific.
