Fort Worth needs 1 day: watching the 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. cattle drive, a daily parade of cowboys herding longhorn cattle down the main street of the Stockyards, the city's historic cattle district, the same morning or afternoon. It calls itself 'Where the West Begins,' and its Stockyards -a designated national historic district- preserve what was the largest cattle market in the United States in the early 20th century, with the daily longhorn drive as the only surviving tradition of its kind in a city of over 900,000 people.
