Las Vegas can be seen in 2 days: the Strip with its themed casinos (Bellagio, Venetian, Paris) takes up most of the time, with a possible Grand Canyon side trip. March-May avoids extreme desert heat, which easily tops 40°C in summer. It's surprisingly affordable for weekday hotel rooms (subsidized by the casinos), though food and entertainment quickly add to the total spend. It's the world capital of nightlife and quickie weddings, built literally in the middle of the Mojave Desert, something that's obvious the moment you step off the Strip.
