Minneapolis needs 2 days: touring the Mall of America, in neighboring Bloomington, the largest shopping mall in the United States with an indoor amusement park, on one, and strolling along Minneapolis's chain of urban lakes, with over thirty kilometers of walking and biking paths, on the other. June-September brings the mildest weather, avoiding the region's typically extreme winter. It's mid-priced for the Midwest. Together with its twin city, Saint Paul, it forms the largest metropolitan area in the northern Midwest, and the Mall of America -large enough to fit seven Yankee Stadiums inside- draws more annual visitors than Disneyland, Graceland and the Grand Canyon combined.
