Huntsville needs 1 day: touring the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, with the world's largest collection of rockets and space artifacts, including a replica Saturn V rocket that took man to the Moon, on the same afternoon you can visit NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center. April-June and September-October bring the mildest weather. It's mid-priced for Alabama. It's known as 'Rocket City' because Wernher von Braun and his team of German engineers worked here, designing the Saturn V rocket for the Apollo Program, and it remains home to a key NASA center for propulsion systems development.
