Los Cabos needs 3 days: the Arch of Cabo San Lucas, a rock formation where the Pacific meets the Sea of Cortez, on one, and humpback whale watching -in season, December-April- or diving on the other. November-May is best, coinciding with whale season. It's expensive, one of Mexico's most exclusive resort destinations, with strong demand for golf and destination weddings. Its meeting point of desert and sea, with the Arch as a symbolic geographic boundary between two oceans, made it the most established luxury destination on Mexico's Pacific coast.
