Negril

Negril needs 3 days: the 11 km of Seven Mile Beach on one, a cliff jump at Rick's Café at sunset on another, and an excursion to the Blue Hole on the Roaring River on the third. December-April is best. It's mid-priced for Jamaica, more relaxed and less crowded than Montego Bay. It's famous for its sunsets over the Caribbean Sea -the reason it became a hippie tourism mecca in the 1970s- and for combining the island's longest, most famous beach with limestone cliffs over crystal-clear waters at its southern end.
