Varadero

Varadero needs 3 days, almost all on the beach: 20 km of white sand and turquoise water along a narrow peninsula, with all-inclusive resorts mostly concentrated there. December-April is best, with lower humidity. It's Cuba's most developed beach destination and affordably priced within the Caribbean, oriented almost entirely toward international resort tourism. It's the country's main source of tourism revenue, with hotel infrastructure far superior to the rest of the island, though that also makes it the least representative experience of the real Cuba outside the resorts.
