Cambridge needs 1 day: Trinity College -the university's largest and wealthiest, with the Wren Library and the courtyard where Isaac Newton measured the speed of sound- and a punting trip along the River Cam past the «Backs», the colleges' rear gardens. April-September is best. It's expensive, with hotel prices similar to London's during graduation season. It's one of the oldest English-speaking universities in the world (founded 1209) and has produced more Nobel laureates than any other institution, with Cambridge and Oxford keeping up an academic and sporting rivalry spanning over 800 years.
