Benidorm can be covered in 3 days: its two city beaches (Levante and Poniente) and its skyscraper skyline, unique on the Spanish coast, take up most of the time. May-September is absolute peak season, when the city's population multiplies with tourists from across Europe. Prices are among the Costa Blanca's lowest for all-inclusive stays, though they rise in August. Its trademark is exactly that contrast: a city with more skyscrapers per capita than almost anywhere else in Europe, nicknamed the «New York of the Mediterranean» for its vertical skyline over a fine sandy beach.
