Cartagena

Cartagena needs 2 days: the Roman Theatre and the National Museum of Underwater Archaeology on one, the harbor and Concepción Castle on the other. May-October brings the typical Mediterranean climate of the Murcia coast. Prices are low, among the cheapest on the Spanish Mediterranean coast. Founded by the Carthaginians (hence its name) and later a naval capital of Roman Mediterranean, it now combines that 3,000-plus-year past with one of Spain's fastest-growing cruise ports.
