September-October is harvest season, with the landscape at its peak. It's expensive for a small village, given its wine prestige. Its vineyards produce Barolo, considered one of Italy's most important red wines, and from the village -the area's highest viewpoint- almost the entire denomination's vineyards are visible in a single glance.
