Imerovigli (Santorini)

Imerovigli can be seen in a day: it's the highest point of the Santorini caldera, with even clearer views than Oia and far fewer crowds. May-June brings the best weather ahead of the July-August peak. It's expensive, similar to Oia, though with fewer hotel options given it's a much smaller village. Its nickname, «the balcony to the Aegean», sums up its appeal: the same caldera and sunset views as Oia, but from a higher natural vantage point with far fewer people.
