An alpine village in the Salzkammergut, spread across green valleys at the foot of the Dachstein massif. It is the gateway to the Gosausee lake and the Dachstein West ski area, with traditional farmhouses, meadows and wooden churches. A quiet base for summer hiking and winter skiing, close to Hallstatt but without the crowds.
