Eze

Èze takes half a day to see: the steep medieval lanes on a rocky outcrop between Nice and Monaco, with the Exotic Garden of cacti at the summit and panoramic views over the whole French Riviera, are essentially the whole village. April-October is best. It's expensive by French standards. Its elevated position -429 meters above the sea, with no vehicle access to the center- protected it from attacks for centuries and today gives it some of the most photographed views on the entire French Riviera.
