National Aquarium Abu Dhabi

National Aquarium Abu Dhabi is one of the largest aquariums in the Middle East, taking visitors on a spectacular journey through 10 cleverly themed zones, plunging you beneath a frozen ocean, a flooded forest, hidden treasures in an Atlantic cave, and much more. National Aquarium Abu Dhabi is home to 46,000 animals, from the tropical waters of the Pacific and the freshwaters of the Amazon, to the icy Arctic caps and Mediterranean caves. The aquarium is home to more than 200 sharks and rays, representing 25 different species. All the animals are sourced according to strict guidelines and cared for by a team of 80 marine life experts. An entire department is dedicated to education, with the capacity to welcome 50,000 schoolchildren a year. The aquarium is easily accessible from Abu Dhabi Island and sits right next to the neighboring five-star hotels, in a prime location for both residents and tourists alike.
