Fethiye

Fethiye needs 3 days: the Blue Lagoon of Ölüdeniz, a turquoise water bay closed off by a sandbar, on one, tandem paragliding from Mount Babadag, with views of the lagoon from 1,960 meters up, on another, and the Lycian rock tombs carved into the cliff above the city on the third. May-October brings the best season. It's mid-priced for Turkey. It's the world capital of recreational paragliding, with over a hundred thousand tandem flights a year from Babadag down to the beach, and its Lycian tombs, carved directly into the rock over 2,400 years ago mimicking Greek temple facades, are a unique vestige of an Anatolian civilization predating the arrival of Greeks and Romans.
