Patong needs 3 days: the beach (Phuket's busiest) during the day, and Bangla Road, the island's nightlife epicenter, at night. November-April is the ideal dry season, with the sea at its best. It's among the priciest areas of Phuket for beachfront lodging, though street food remains affordable. It's Thailand's most international beach destination, with a density of bars, clubs and nightlife unmatched anywhere else on the island, drawing both backpackers and luxury tourists.
