About Murchison Falls National Park
Murchison Falls is Uganda's largest park, built around the falls of the same name, where the entire Nile River squeezes through a gap barely 7 meters wide before plunging 43 meters with brutal force. The safari comes in two parts: the north bank, with open savanna and the highest wildlife density (elephants, giraffes, lions, buffalo), and a boat ride to the base of the falls, passing crocodiles and hippos along the way. December-February and June-September are the dry months, best for the land safari.
