Maasai Mara

The Masai Mara is the Kenyan extension of the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem and the stage for the Great Migration: between July and October, over a million and a half wildebeest and zebras cross the Mara River in massive herds, with giant crocodiles waiting in the water — Africa's most famous wildlife spectacle. Outside that season it remains one of the continent's best year-round safaris, with Kenya's highest density of lions. At least 3 days are recommended for several real game drives, not just one.
